Our Venue Hire service has become one of the most popular in the Yarra Ranges.  This is because Japara offers up-to-date, modern facilities that can be used for most functions at very reasonable prices.  We take the guess work out of your special occasion so all you have to do is plan the fun stuff. Whether it’s a large or small function, our friendly staff will make sure your function impresses the most fussy of guests.

The Main Hall
Big, bold and bursting with opportunity, the Main Hall is ideal for larger groups.  Accommodating up to 100 guests there will be plenty of standing room available.  Windows frame the Dandenong Ranges with rear entrances to the landscaped native gardens and huge outdoor deck.  Audio visual equipment including overhead projector, stereo, laptop and USB connectivity plus Wi-Fi access.  A microphone is available for those very important and sometimes embarrassing speeches.  Hard wood spotted timber floors make the Main Hall the perfect choice for dancing the night away.
The Annex

Aptly named the Annex because it is separate from the buzz of the main Centre.   The floor to ceiling windows bathe this beautiful space in natural light for a more relaxed gathering.  Open the large glass sliding doors to bring the outdoors in.  With its own bathroom and kitchenette you won’t have to share with others and it is equipped with A/V and laptop connectivity.  Accommodates up to 40 guests comfortably.

The Early Years Building

This is where all the fun happens!  Ideal for children’s parties due to its huge outdoor playground which includes an oversized sandpit, a grassed area for soft landings and an enclosed trampoline plus climbing equipment.  Forget about being the adult because you won’t be able to stop yourself joining the kids in this fantastic space.  With access to the outdoor toys, watch the kids drive cars, slide down slides, kick balls and make sand castles and scooter their way to party bliss.  There are two large rooms separated by the kid’s toilet facilities and baby change area.  The kitchen facilities offer an oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and coffee point with boiling and chilled water. How easy is that? 

The Technology Room
Technically speaking, this space is ideal for business seminars and training workshops.  Accommodating up to 40 guests, as with all our spaces A/V and laptop/Wi-Fi connectivity is available.  A coffee point with boiling and chilled water makes it easy to grab a cuppa whilst brainstorming ideas or learning new skills.  Our built-in electronic whiteboard enables you to save and print your work, avoiding messy markers and someone scribbling notes.
Meeting Rooms 2 & 3

Both of similar size, allowing up to 25 guests comfortably, you will love these spaces for training, arts & crafts, meetings or social groups. Both fully equipped with A/V equipment and electronic whiteboards, your function will run without a hitch. Room 3 offers a concreted floor with coffee point and Room 2 is carpeted (fondly known as the carpet room), with street frontage.  Both rooms offer outside access to the landscaped gardens and courtyard.

Meeting Room 1

Good things come in small packages and this little room is a gem. Accommodating up to 6 guests it is ideal for more intimate meetings like counselling sessions, one-on-one interviews or small workshops.  Equipped with a large screen to connect your laptop for presentations or to work on, you can also connect to the internet with ease.
