Japara Events for the Autumn Term

Japara Small Business Network Wednesday 18th April, 10am-11:30am, FREE Event. JSBN is a network to inform, support and share best practice.  If you run a small business in the local area and wish to connect with other small business owners, then this is a perfect start.  Everyone is welcome.  To register your place or further information please contact Jackie Warren our Community Engagement Officer at Japara.  

RACV Road Safety for Seniors Tuesday 1st May, 10am-11am, FREE Event.  Years Ahead is a program that involves a one-hour discussion based presentation and is available free of charge to organised groups of older people throughout most of Victoria.  Specially trained RACV staff visit groups, presenting road safety information to assist them to remain safe on the road.  Registrations are essential.

NBN Community Forum Thursday 3rd May, 11am, FREE Event.  This is your opportunity to find out what exactly the National Broadband Network is all about.  Have your say, discuss issues and get the correct information.

Nappy Collective Between the 7th-14th May.  Do you have leftover unused disposable nappies lying around that you no longer need?  Drop them off at your nearest designated collection point including Japara at 54-58 Durham Road, Kilsyth whilst the collective is on.  The Collective collect your leftover unused disposable nappies and redistribute them to organisations that support families in crisis or need.  

Biggest Morning Tea Tuesday 29th May.  Yes it is the Cancer Councils most popular fundraising event and the largest, most successful event of its kind in Australia.  The idea is simple, just get your friends, colleagues, family or community together over some tea and treats, and help to raise vital money for people affected by cancer.  All donations made across the country go towards helping your local Cancer Council achieve its mission of a cancer free future.
